aFe Control Upper Control Arms – Performance Suspension (460-72T005-R)
The aFe Control upper control arms are designed to enhance front suspension performance, alignment capability, and durability on lifted and factory-height Toyota Tundra applications. While the factory upper control arms may function with basic lift kits, aFe Control engineered these arms to deliver improved geometry, increased articulation, and a more refined suspension setup for both on-road driving and off-road use.
Each control arm is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, featuring a sculpted upper profile and machined lower pockets to reduce unnecessary weight while maintaining strength. The arms are finished in a red anodized coating with a laser-engraved aFe Control logo, providing corrosion resistance and a clean, performance-focused appearance. Designed to work at factory ride height and with lift kits up to 3 inches, the arms provide additional coil spring and suspension clearance compared to OE components.
The design allows for full camber and caster adjustment, helping restore proper alignment after lifting and improving straight-line stability, steering feel, and tire wear. Heavy-duty 7/8-inch hard-chrome-plated rod end chassis mounts allow precise adjustment while maintaining strength under load. For articulation and smooth suspension movement, the arms are equipped with a 1.25-inch high-articulation uniball joint, allowing increased down travel with zero binding. The uniball is PTFE-lined for long-lasting, quiet operation.
To protect the joint from debris and moisture, the arms include a sealed dust cap machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish. This helps maintain consistent performance and extends service life in harsh driving conditions. All necessary hardware is included, and the arms are designed as a direct-fit installation requiring no vehicle modifications.
