The aFe Control Sway-A-Way 2.5 rear shock kit is a high-performance rear suspension upgrade engineered to improve ride control, stability, and damping performance on compatible Toyota applications. Built around Sway-A-Way’s race-proven 2.5-inch shock design, these rear shocks are tuned to deliver consistent performance across daily driving, towing, and off-road use.
Each shock features an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) design for fade-free damping and is filled with specifically formulated fully synthetic shock oil to maintain consistent performance under heat and repeated cycling. Application-specific valving is tuned to control rear suspension movement while maintaining ride comfort and vehicle balance. A multi-seal carrier is used to help ensure long-term reliability and leak-free operation.
The shocks are constructed with high-strength shock bodies, polished nitro steel shafts, and Teflon-lined spherical bearings for durability and smooth articulation under load. Designed to pair properly with Sway-A-Way front coilovers or other performance front suspension upgrades, this rear shock kit helps create a balanced, controlled suspension system without sacrificing everyday drivability.
